As a child, Rebecca wore a brace to counter her twisted back. She was first introduced to yoga as a means to manage her scoliosis. More than pain management, Rebecca’s yoga practice offered her an even greater gift— the opportunity to explore her body, and cultivate inner awareness and loving compassion. In hopes of sharing the transformative effects of yoga with others, Rebecca became a certified yoga instructor at Kripalu in 2009 and taught yoga privately in New York City while pursuing a career as an international Latin/Soul and Jazz singer. When she moved back home to Maine in 2013, Rebecca began teaching more regularly, also taking on spin and barre instruction with the same yogic attention to form and breath. Rebecca believes fitness can be joyful. Her spin and barre classes are playful and set to great music- allowing her students to clear their heads and empower themselves with strength.
