Meet Tunde
Tunde is the Pilates Instructor at The BayClub and also teaches PowerBallTM and PowerBootcamp. She is the co-owner and founder of the Pilates Center of Maine and Host Training Center for Power PilatesTM New York and is currently pursuing a Teacher Trainer Certification. She holds an Advanced Level 3 certification in the Authentic Pilates Method™ through Power Pilates™ and has been certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and American Council of Exercise for personal training and group fitness.

Meet Kim
Originally from Vermont, I’ve lived in the Portland area since 1985. I began teaching fitness in 1990; I was a competitive gymnast growing up. To fill the void where gymnastics once was, I fell head over heels for fitness classes. Later I became a group fitness instructor/director at 2 area health clubs, I’m co-owner & personal trainer with my husband Tim in our business Athlete’s Training Solutions recently opened Tumble Tikes – Children’s Fitness Center and run around after our almost 3 year old. I have years of experience with all levels of fitness, and also specialize in triathlons as a 2-time ironman finisher and competitive runner.

Since becoming a nationally certified yoga instructor in 2004, Brett Russman teaches yoga classes with an uplifting sense of humor and precise instruction of alignment. He is known in the yoga community as a skillful practitioner and a teacher’s teacher for his dynamic, non-dogmatic and playful teaching style.

Meet Bethany
For Bethany, yoga is a process of skill building, and clearing out the daily fuzz. Her classes are rooted in her experience growing up as a gymnast and springboard diver, turned Yogini, as well as her own daily practice; and are heavily influenced by her ongoing study of an always-evolving list of incredible teachers. The goal is to become powerful- to design a practice to give us the tools and techniques to develop a functional and sustainable practice that enables good posture, insight, and well-being—with the ultimate goal to provide joy. Bethany teaches out of a real love to support people in developing proficient ways of working with themselves to up their capacity to breathe well, to have organic function, and to be comfortable in their bodies.

Meet Erin
Erin has been dancing various types of dance (ballet, jazz, modern and salsa) since the age of 5 and has been teaching aerobics for 10+ years. Erin currently teaches our Kickbox Fusion class and is an AFAA (Aerobic and Fitness Association of America) certified primary group exercise instructor. She is interested in fitness of all kinds including surfing, running, sailing, skiing and snowboarding. Erin enjoys motivating individuals to get fit while having fun in a class environment!

Zumba

Zumba is a fun work-out that increases cardiovascular endurance and muscle tone. The music and routines definitely make it feel like a party!
Meet Julia
Julia is a licensed Zumba instructor and an AFAA (Aerobic and Fitness Association of America) certified primary group exercise instructor. She is an avid cross-trainer and enjoys biking, running, weight-lifting, swimming, and boot camp classes.

Meet Will
Will has been teaching indoor cycling at the Bay Club since 2004. His classes are strongly influenced by outdoor riding and interval training. Participants can expect an exciting mix of speed work and climbing, designed to build leg strength and aerobic capacity. Will is an accomplished athlete himself, completing 80+ triathlons, and 14 marathons to date. He has coached runners, swimmers, and triathletes throughout his career, and makes a living working as a Race Director. Outside the gym, Will is an avid skier, surfer, traveler, and adventure enthusiast.

As a student and teacher of yoga, I believe in the practice of finding ways to unite the mind and body with the authentic self.
Meet Maura
Maura discovered the yoga practice 14 years ago, and has been practicing ever since. From the sense of clarity, balance and openness that the practice of yoga brought to her, she knew immediately that she wanted yoga to be part of her life. Maura began teaching yoga in 2003, while also studying psychology at St. Michael’s College in Vermont. Classes are woven with the intent of finding balance and full awareness of the mind and body. She hopes to help her students develop a relationship with their self, which is openhearted, curious and friendly.
