Group Fitness with Kim Demado
Everything is possible, mind over matter, say you can do it and you will, say you can’t and you probably won’t.
Originally from Vermont, I’ve lived in the Portland area since 1985. I began teaching fitness in 1990; I was a competitive gymnast growing up. To fill the void where gymnastics once was, I fell head over heels for fitness classes. Later I became a group fitness instructor/director at 2 area health clubs, I’m co-owner & personal trainer with my husband Tim in our business Athlete’s Training Solutions recently opened Tumble Tikes – Children’s Fitness Center and run around after our almost 3 year old. I have years of experience with all levels of fitness, and also specialize in triathlons as a 2-time ironman finisher and competitive runner.

Her classes are rooted in her experience growing up as a gymnast and springboard diver, turned Yogini, as well as her own daily practice; and are heavily influenced by her ongoing study of an always-evolving list of incredible teachers. The goal is to become powerful- to design a practice to give us the tools and techniques to develop a functional and sustainable practice that enables good posture, insight, and well-being—with the ultimate goal to provide joy. Bethany teaches out of a real love to support people in developing proficient ways of working with themselves to up their capacity to breathe well, to have organic function, and to be comfortable in their bodies.
